The last place you would think to see kids practicing their kickflips is in Ethiopia, but times are changing and in the last 10 years around 4 skateparks have been built in this country.
Despite challenges, the sport is gaining traction here, local kids in all parts of the country are trying to get their hands on a board for many different reasons. Whether it be for fun, stress relief, or for transportation, the skateboard seems to be the solution for all of the youth's problems.
We, Kushineta, see the growth and are hoping to fuel it by pioneering the manufacturing and distribution of boards in Ethiopia.
